Typology: Snakes

The subject for my typology was snakes in deli cups at a reptile expo. Since there was a reptile expo over spring break, I decided to take some pictures of the many snakes there. I wanted to showcase the variety found in snake species. This expo was fairly small and I expected more snakes to be in deli cups than in square containers. I chose snakes because they fascinate me - the interesting way they move and how they explore the world around them. I learned that I need to bring a background if the tablecloths end up being different designs. I intended to bring an extra black t-shirt for this purpose, but forgot.
Typology is about repetition, and in this case the repetition of the circular container and snake identification labels provided a framework to showcase the differences between the snakes.

Panorama Assignment

This is a panorama I took overlooking Gee Lake and the Music Building.

This is a panorama of a section of the recreation center and the field overlooking it.

This is a block panorama of Gee Lake. I wanted to focus on the tree, a bit of the lake, and frame that with a building in the distance. (The one I turned in was had three by three.)

This is a block panorama of a location in front of City Hall. You see the telephone lines and the sky, then the picture box and wooden limb, and then
